2021 Sleeping Lady Cabernet FrancYountville

From the renowned Sleeping Lady vineyard, south of Yountville on the western side of Napa Valley. The vineyard is situated on a gentle slope at the base of the Mayacamas Mountains. The soil is alluvial cobble wash and limits the vigor of the vines. Resulting wines are structural and dense in nature.

Only four barrels of the 2021 Sleeping Lady Cab Franc were produced!

The only wine from Williams that's fermented all in barrels, the 2021 Cabernet Franc Sleeping Lady Vineyard is another truly sensation wine from this team. Compared to the Cabernet Sauvignon releases, it stays more focused and chiseled, with medium to full-bodied richness as well as sensational levels of purity in its redcurrants, spring flowers, graphite, and forest floor-like aromatics and flavors. Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the single-varietal 2021 Sleeping Lady Vineyard Cabernet Franc gallops out with powerful notes of black raspberries, redcurrant jelly, and blackberry preserves opening out to a perfume of candied violets, wild sage, and fertile loam with a hint of pencil lead. The medium to full-bodied palate is vibrant and refreshing, with fine-grained tannins and fantastically perfumed red and black fruit layers, finishing long and mineral-laced.
