2022 The Grove Cabernet Sauvignon Magnum St. Helena

The Grove tends to be our most plush Cabernet bottling.  The 2022 is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, and of course comes entirely from the Lewelling Ranch in St. Helena.  It is our northernmost Cabernet site in Napa Valley and is usually the first Cabernet Vineyard that we pick each vintage. The 2022 Grove is incredibly outgoing, ridiculously smooth and can already be enjoyed despite its youth.

The 2022 opens with notes of warm, rich fruit and displays the extroverted nature of the 2022 vintage.  The 2022's are hedonistic, fruit forward and meant to be enjoyed!  This wine is smooth throughout; dancing effortlessly across your palate with flavors of blackberry, plum and mocha. It is both savory and affable and is the kind of Cabernet that makes you want a second and third glass!

The Lewelling Ranch is a special place------a vineyard and homesite tucked behind the town of St. Helena and owned and operated by the same family since the 1850's!  It is rich in history and steeped in tradition.  We are honored to have learned from and worked with the Wight family since 2014.

Only two barrels of the 2022 Grove were made.

And only 12 Magnums were made in 2022; they will sell out quickly

Our labels incorporate patterns and textures that occur in nature. This one is an artistic representation of the olive grove that is adjacent to the block of Cabernet that we work with.
