2023 Sleeping Lady Cabernet Sauvignon Yountville
Our first vineyard designate red wine, the Sleeping Lady Cabernet Sauvignon hails from a vineyard just south of Yountville on the western side of Napa Valley. The vineyard is situated on a gentle slope at the base of the Mayacamas Mountains. The soil is alluvial cobble wash and limits the vigor of the vines. Resulting wines are structural and dense in nature.
Only four barrels of the 2023 Sleeping Lady Cabernet Sauvignon were produced.

The Full Notes from Jeb Dunnuck:
Deep purple-hued, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Sleeping Lady Vineyard offers up an insanely good nose of ripe blackcurrants, bloody blue fruits, iron, and a Graves-like scorched earth character that, if it doesn't make you smile, I don't know what will. Aged 22 months in 75% new French oak, it's full-bodied on the palate, with a deep, rich, powerful mouthfeel and incredible mid-palate depth. This is a blockbuster Cabernet Sauvignon from Jennifer Williams that will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age and cruise for two decades or more. Drink 2029-2049.

And from Lisa Perrotti-Brown:
The 2023 Sleeping Lady Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. It rolls out of the glass with evocative scents of black cherries, crushed black currants, and red cherry preserves, plus hints of red roses, tilled soil, and fallen leaves. Full-bodied, the palate is velvety and opulent with bags of spicy black fruit and seamless freshness, finishing long with lots of minerally sparks.

And from James Suckling
This wine is all about freshness and tension, which brings out mineral, stone and metallic aromas with a floral lift. The palate is full-bodied with seamlessly integrated tannins, fine acidity, depth and grace with no hard edges. A fine wine with lovely density and texture, made from a fine vineyard. Drink or hold.
